New Year, New Website

What is the saying? "New Year, New You"? This year Moore and Moore is saying New Year, New Website... a shoppable website!  You can now shop most of our stock online at mooreandmoore.com!  Before I tell you all about that, come back in time with me and find out how we got here.

Moore and Moore Garden Center was officially brought to life by John and Nell Moore in Sept. 1980.  Their son, Paul, was involved from the very beginning and shared his love of native plants with their customers.  Paul would take over the business and eventually his nephew, Duncan Borders, would become the third generation owner.  In 2025 we celebrated 45 years in business.  What a great 45 years it has been!  

We have been your one-stop-shop for houseplants, annuals, perennials, shrubs and trees, and still offer a great selection of native plants as well.  We have covered all your bases for plant related problems and offered organic solutions wherever possible.  We have a designers dream of a gift shop.  All of this while staying grounded in the community and giving top-notch service to our customers.  If it sounds like I am bragging, that's because I am!  I love working here and being part of this family.  We focus on quality and service and I think it shows.

Now onto the website.  We have had an online shop once before.  During the pandemic, we scrambled to get everything online so that we could continue to serve  our loyal customers.  You all showed up for that one.  It was hectic and scary because it felt like we weren't getting it right.  But you were patient and continued ordering.  We were all happy when we were able to fling the doors open and welcome you all back into the store. 

This go around we were able to make the conscious decision to make the online store.  It made us look at how we wanted to group our inventory into different categories.  We had long discussions about how we did the first time and how we wanted it to go this time.  We hope you will enjoy using the new website.  It has already come in handy for us here at the store.  We have used the photos to help us with inventory, since some of the descriptions can be very similar.  (ie. Metal Rainchain vs. Rustic Metal Rainchain) We also used it to help us with the promotion of Will’s Coloring Book. It was easy to say yes to this “next step” in business for us.

I hope that you all will take full advantage of our online store.  It could help you research and make decisions before coming out the Garden Center.  You can shop while we are closed, or get first dibs on a new plant you have been coveting. This time of year the weather is totally unpredictable but you will still be able to get your plant fix by checking out our socials and online store.  All items will be available for pickup or local delivery (fee determined at check out).  We would love to see you in the store, as often as possible, but this is just another option so that you can always be connected to Moore and Moore.
